Georgian Group Architectural Awards 2013: New Building in the Classical Tradition
At home in Wales – Llwnywermod, Carmarthenshire. The Welsh house of TRH The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.
This new house replaces a mid 20th century house which in turn replaced a distinguished house by Edward Haycock. The new house adjoins the surviving Stable block and is currently under construction.
After restoring the house at Williamstip Park, remodelled by Soane in the 1790s, architect, Craig Hamilton, added his own striking classically inspired Bathhouse to the grounds.
