A COUNTRY HOUSE IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE
PROJECT OVERVIEW
A new replacement dwelling for a hill farm in the Cotswolds. Sited next to an existing stable yard with a historic barn, the house was designed to retain something of the quality of a traditional Cotswold hill farmhouse, albeit on a large scale. Faced in local stone, with stone-tile roofs in diminishing courses, the main block combines local vernacular references with inspiration from more formal early-20th-century Classical architects working in the Cotswolds such as Guy Dawber.
